Temperament: Happy, smart and protective of their family.

Behaviour with Children: Particularly good.

With other Pets: Normally well behaved.

Activity Level: Moderate exercise.

Learning ability: Has a mind of its own and sometimes difficult to train.

Expected Life Span: This breed slow to mature - 12 - 15 years plus or minus.

Living Environment: Not very active indoors, normal regular exercise for health reasons required. Females quite often only come into season once yearly.

Watch Dog: Doesn't normally bark excessively, but will bark at strangers and anything it considers to be out of place or not normal.
