GENERAL INFORMATION - AIREDALE
The Airedale has proven his worth in many fields of endeavour.
Temperament: Sweet disposition, aloof with strangers, dependable.
Behaviour with Children: Good.
Activity Level: Fairly High.
Life Expectancy: 12 - 14 years plus/minus.
Training Ability: Very intelligent, is considered the most trainable of the terrier group.
Living Environment: Can tolerate cold weather quite well. Please Note: While the Airedale can be outside for periods in
hot or cold weather, it depends very much on the coat condition as to how
comfortable the dog will be. If trimmed, the length of time outside is
considerably less. Therefore, that while they can be
outside with their families, they may need a coat if they have been recently
trimmed in winter. They should not be left out unattended.
Health Issues: For the most part, a healthy breed. As with all breeds, there are
specific health issues connected with this breed that can arise. Best to check with veterinarian and breeders.
