I find the Beagle to be the perfect all-round dog, good for hunting, for companionship, for showing, for trials, you name it, he does it.

They are alert,intelligent and a gay little dog. They do have strong hunting instincts so it is best to make sure if you leave them outside for any length of time on their own, they are in a safe enclosed area.

I have been breeding Beagles for a great many years and don't regret for one minute, the breed I chose.
