GROOMING - BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG
Brief Summary
The Bernese Mountain Dog is a double-coated
breed. Shedding is considerable. Berners cast off their coats
seasonally with the exception of intact females that cast coat in
conjunction with heat cycles.
. A Berner’s coat is relatively easy to
maintain if you brush frequently. Bathing/shampooing can be carried out
whenever necessary.
Ears need to be checked and cleaned regularly.
Nails should be kept short and trimmed roughly every 4 - 6 weeks, depending on dog.
Don't forget the teeth and take preventative measures to prevent tartar build up.
Always check eyes to make sure clean and nice and healthy.
