Temperament:Strong temperament: Protective, Is usually steady tempered and sensible.

Behaviour with Children: Due to size and weight , usually too boisterous for children.

With other pets: Many Bouviers are dominant or aggressive toward other dogs of the same sex. Some have strong instincts to chase and seize cats and other fleeing creatures, but then so do a lot of breeds!

Activity Level: Need sufficient exercise and mental stimulation, they MUST have regular opportunities to vent their energy and do interesting things.

Obedience Ability: Capable of learning a great deal, have strong independent mind of their own and are not pushovers to raise and train.

Learning Ability: Extremely high.

Expected Life Span: Approx 10 years plus/minus.
