Smooth Coated: Overall minimal coat care - brush with firm bristle brush when needed.

During shedding of coat twice yearly, requires more frequent brushing to remove dead hair.

Both varieties: Bathe only if and when necessary.

Keep ears and eyes clean.

Depending on individual dog, nails should be trimmed approximately every four to six weeks.
