I have always loved the German Shepherd, especially, because of his beauty and working ability to do almost everything. This makes him an easily trained companion and family dog, as well as a good herding, guard, police and guide dog.

A good German Shepherd should be willing to work, should be even tempered, confident, courageous, good natured, attentive, obedient and protective. They should also be reserved towards strangers. I don't feel there is any other breed that can compete with the versatile and talented German Shepherd.
