I have been showing and breeding Havanes dogs for 4 years. I fell in love with the breed a few years before that and spent a long time talking to breeders and learning as much as I could before I made the move into showing and then breeding.

Havanese are a true velcro dog. They love to be with you and 24/7 is their preferred schedule. They are happy, soft tempered and lovable. They are great with kids and other dogs and cats. Their coat does not shed which makes it less prone to bother people with allergies, but it will mat so does require a fair amount of care. Many pet owners keep their Havs clipped for easy maintenance.
