Temperament: Lively, fun loving and attentive.

Behaviour with Children: Good with older children but may not tolerate behaviour of smaller children.

Behaviour with other Pets: Sometimes overly aggressive.

Expected Life Span: 9 - 10 years plus or minus.

Living Environment: Is suitable for either country or apartment living. They are not suited for outside kennel living, but does well inside the home with people. Quite a good dog for the elderly, they are very much a 'one person' dog and show deep affection and pleasure. Can be exercised in small area but they do enjoy a proper walk or run.

Watch Dog: A very good alert dog as they are suspicious of strangers.

Guard Dog: Unsuitable.

NOTE: This breed does need to be socialized fully as a youngster with both humans and animals with visits to lots of new places.

Sensitive to sun too hot, or to cold and to damp.
