(2)Check with a veterinarian regarding breed genetic health problems, if any.
(3)Visit as many breeders as possible, BEFORE selecting a puppy.
(4)Check again with _breeder_ regarding any breed health problems, ask what actions breeder has taken to safeguard against this.
(5)Many breeds suffer with Hip Dyplasia, eye, skin disorders and elbow problems,to name a few, make sure parents have been
certified clear of any breed specific problem.
(6)Make sure you have in writing, a guarantee against any specific breed health issues.
(7)Make sure the puppy you select has been wormed, has had first necessary vaccinations and has been tattooed/microchip with C.K.C._registered_ personal individual identification.
(8)C.K.C. Registration papers are likely not to be available yet if your puppy is just a few weeks old.
(9)In lieu of No: (8) make sure you have written official registered C.K.C name and number for both the sire and dam, and
CKC. litter registration number for the litter the pup itself was part of, if available.
(10)Check the breeder will be there for you any time you need assistance with your puppy _after_ purchase.
<11)Make sure you have a GENUINE problem before worrying the breeder unnecessarily.
(12)Remember a puppy is NOT a toy and should NOT be left UNSUPERVISED with young children at any time.
