General:Also known as the Butterfly Dog because the ears look like two butterfly wings.

Temperament: A gentle and affectionate dog, lively, vivacious and charming. Playful and amusing but can also be calm, patient, gentle and dignified.

Behaviour with other dogs:Sometimes a bit aggressive.

Behaviour with Cats: Very good, especially if brought up with them.

Activity Level: These playful little dogs love to go for a run but won't fret too much if confined to the house for days at a time. Like any dog (or people), they benefit from regular exercise.

Obedience Ability: They are steady and obedient.

Learning Ability:They can be trained to do small tricks.

Expected Life Span:Some live as long as 15/16 years an average is 12 - 14 years plus or minus.

Living Environment:Can live in apartment quite happily providing exercised regularly. Has strong instinct to protect owner and property and may bark too much as unable to discern between casual noises and noises that should cause alarm if left alone for long periods of time. Likes giving and receiving lots of love and human contact.
