This breed has a very long and double coat and requires brushing regularly.

Best to start working from the head backwards, parting the coat and brushing foward.

The cottony undercoat should shed once or twice a year, but some seem to be constantly shedding.

Use dry shampoo if and when necessary.

Clean eyes and ears regularly.

Take dog for regular dental checkups.

Depending on individual, keep nails trimmed when required.
