Grooming - POODLE (Miniature, Toy and Standard)
Brief Summary
Excessive grooming is required for this breed.
Requires regular bathing and should be clipped approx. every four to six weeks.
Originally dogs were clipped to lighten the weight when swimming - popular clip is the lambs clip, which leaves fur the same length all over and at the same time more economical to maintain.
Inside of ears should be checked and kept clean.
Hair growing inside of ear needs removing
This breed experiences little or no shedding of coat and are an excellent companion for allergy sufferers.
Teeth may need regular scaling.
Nails should be trimmed approx every four to six weeks depending on individual dog.
