GROOMING
This breed is a seasonally heavy shedder, sheds out dense undercoat twice yearly.
If you make a point of giving a daily quick brush and gently brushing and removing any matts before they form, you will find the Sheltie's coat is quite easy to maintain.
You will find that dirt and mud is removed off the coat quite easily.
Only bath or shampoo when absolutely necessary.
Keep close check on inside of ears and eyes for foreign objects.
Depending on individual dog, nails should be trimmed every 4 - 6 weeks.
