Temperament: Gentle, playful, mischievous, intelligent (have a mind of their own), sociable, cheerful, and easy going.

Behaviour with Children: Normally very good and well behaved.

Bhevaiour with other pets: Good with other pets if socialized with them as a youngster.

Activity Level: Quite high.

Obedience Level: With lots of consistency and patience on part of owner, can become well trained. Need to feel there is a point to being told what to do, so training must be kept interesting.

Watchdogs:Not good watchdogs

Expected Life Span: Approx. 12 - 14 years - plus/minus.

Living Environment: Not recommended for apartment living - requires large fenced yard, make sure unable to dig to get out as they are basically wanderers and will wander if given the opportunity and left for long period to their own devices. Because of their heavy coats, need to be able to lay in cool place in summer.
