Temperament: Affectionate, very friendly and spunky.

Behaviour with Children: Providing child is well behaved, gets along extremely well.

Behaviour with other Pets: Normally will not pick a fight with another dog, but some may be combative towards another male - is self assured towards dogs, but may chase cats for fun but usually doesn't hurt them.

Activity Level: For health reasons require sufficient exercise, good for walks but doesn't fret if it is not forthcoming.

Obedience Ability:Easy to train.

Life Expentancy: Long life - 14 years or more.

Watchdog: Good watchdog despite its size.

Living Environment: Suitable for apartment living in cities as well as in the country. Does not require a back yard necessarily.Fairly active indoors. Loves companionship. Very good traveller.
