Behaviour with Children:Very good with well behaved children, does not like rough-housing or teasing.

Behaviour with other Pets:Fine with felines they are raised with and become accustomed to. If not properly socialized, inclined to chase after cats or small animals.

Obedience Ability:Have quite an independent nature which can make training a little difficult. Very sensitive, requires gentle but firm handling, incorporate games and running into obedience to make it more appealing.

Living Environment: This breed is very clean, practically odour free and it travels well. May be reserved with strangers. The Whippets sweet personality make him a wonderful companion. Is considered the ultimate sprinter for speed - has ability to accelerate to top speed unsurpassed by any other breed, has ability to twist and turn at top speed with amazing dexterity. Very sensitive to cold weather may require protective coat.
